Netherlands wins U16 Talent World Cup 2012.

The U16 team of the Netherlands has won this year's edition of the U16 Talent World Cup. In the final, the Netherlands beat Belgium by 23-14 (14-10). Chinese Taipei gained bronze, beating Germany 16-06 (6-1). The Fairplay cup was for Chinese Taipei. Best Female Player was Denisa Kolarova (Czech republic) and best male player was Huang Tzu-Shun (Chinese Taipei).

The U16 Talent World Cup is a recognized invitation tournament hosted by the Royal Netherlands Korfball Association (KNKV) in Schijndel (NED). See the U16 Talent World Cup website for more information and full results.


Het Nederlands team onder zestien jaar heeft in Schijndel de U16 Talent World Cup gewonnen. Oranje plaatste zich zaterdag vanuit de groepsfase voor de halve finales. In die halve finale kwam de ploeg van Jennifer Tromp Chinees Taipei tegen. Bij rust prijkte een 17-8 stand op het scorebord. Uiteindelijk werd het 32-10, waardoor een finale plaats verzilverd werd.

In die finale stond een klassieke wedstrijd op het programma. België tegen Nederland. Een maand geleden waren de Belgen een maatje te klein voor Oranje onder zestien. Maar in de finale gooide de 'Diamonds' het over een andere boeg. Desondanks was het wel Nederland dat op een 14-10 voorsprong stond in de rust. Het collectief sterker Nederland deed er na de pauze een schepje bovenop en zorgde er snel voor dat het opnieuw behalen van de Cup een feit was. Een mooi evenement werd met een mooie 23-14 overwinning afgesloten.

Chinees Taipei was in de strijd om de derde en vierde plaats de sterkste. Na een6-1 ruststand werd Duitsland met 16-6 verslagen. De Fair Play cup van de gemeente Schijndel was voor Chinees Taipei. Beste speelster van het Toernooi was Denisa Kolarova (Tsjechië) en de beste speler was Huang Tzu-Shun (Chinees Taipei).

Pakistan.

Yesterday we received the message that Pakistan is not able to come as participant at the U16 Talent World Cup 2012. This means that the U16 team of the KNKV district South will replace Pakistan in Group B on Saturday. The composition of Group A and B is;
A:  Germany, Hungary, Russia and The Netherlands.
B:  Chinese Taipei, England, Belgium, District South and the Czech Republic.


Gisteren ontvingen we het bericht dat Pakistan op het laatste moment moest afmelden als deelnemer aan het U16 talent World Cup Toernooi. In het wedstrijdschema van zaterdag wordt het team van Pakistan vervangen door het U16 team van het KNKV District Zuid. Dit geeft de volgende groepsindeling:
A:  Duitsland, Hongarije, Rusland en Nederland.
B: Taiwan, Engeland, België, District Zuid en Tsjechië.

Belarus.

We received the message that Belarus is not able to come as participant at the U16 Talent World Cup 2012. We will replace the team of Belarus with the U16 team of the KNKV district South. The results of this team will not count for the ranking in the pools and finals.

De Organisatie ontving het bericht dat Wit Rusland op het laatste moment moest afmelden als deelnemer aan het U16 talent World Cup Toernooi. In het wedstrijdschema wordt het team van Wit Rusland vervangen door Het U16 Team van het KNKV District Zuid. De resultaten van dit team tellen niet mee in de rangschikking.

Welcome to Schijndel

Sport is one of the few things that make people all over the world feel connected. Everybody is equal in sport. You are not better because you are from one or another country. What matters is your achievement as an individual or as a team.

Open minded
The U16 Talent World Cup is a colourful combination of countries. Chinese Taipei, Czech Re-public, Belarus, Germany, England, Russia, Hungary, Belgium, Pakistan and the Netherlands are present. The tournament takes place under the suspicion of the KNKV (Dutch korfball asso-ciation) and is recognized by the International Korfball Federation. It is the most important mixed korfball tournament for players under 16 years old.
These two days are going to be busy days for you all. Not only because of korfball games, but also meeting your opponents. Winning may seem very important for you as a team, but stay open minded for other cultures. The Fair Play Cup given by the community of Schijndel, is in our means the most important award of this tournament.

A multi-cultural good time.
The Schijndel community is very happy with the efforts taken by korfball club De Boemerang. The community is pleased by your visit to our little town in the Netherlands. We want to wish you and the organization of the U16 Talent World Cup all the best. May the best team win and have a multi-cultural good time. Good luck to you all and fair play!

Welcome to the korfball youth of the world!

The U16 World Cup has been a key event on the IKF Calendar for many years. Youth is essential to sport and to sport development, and I am therefore happy to welcome again the talent national teams to this year’s edition.
Later this year, at the IKF U23 World Championship in Barcelona in October, the IKF will officially launch the International Year of the Youth. Youth will dominate korfball in 2013, as we will stage events and create publicity around youth and youth activities. If you, as the world’s best U16 have any good ideas for this event, feel free to contact the project manager of the IKF’s Year of the Youth.
For now, however, the focus is on this wonderful event in Schijndel. I am sure we will see again exciting matches, and many spectators enjoying the talent of the future. Talent, that will play in the World Championship, maybe as early as 2015 in Antwerp, but definitely in 2019.

U16 Talent World Cup Schijndel 2012 op 17 en 18 Maart.

10 Landen van drie continenten hebben zich ingeschreven voor de U16 Talent World Cup 2012. Dit korfbaltoernooi is bedoeld voor landenteams tot 16 jaar en wordt gehouden in sportcomplex “De Dioscuren” in Schijndel . De organisatie is in handen van het KNKV korfbaldistrict Zuid in samenwerking met onze korfbalvereniging De Boemerang. Onder de deelnemers bevinden zich de sterkste jeugdlandenteams ter wereld. Nieuw en dus voor het eerst onder de deelnemers is Pakistan. De overige deelnemende landen zijn titelverdediger Nederland, Taiwan, Engeland, Duitsland, België, Rusland, Tsjechië, Wit Rusland, en Hongarije.
De ploegen strijden op zaterdag in twee poules om de beste klassering.
Op zondag komen de nummers 3 tot en met 5 samen in een poule (C) van 6 en spelen tegen de nummers 3 t/m 5 van de andere poule van zaterdag. De resultaten van zaterdag worden meegenomen m.u.v. die punten welke tegen de nummers 1 en 2 van de groep behaald zijn. Na de 3 wedstrijden op zondag wordt dan volgens de stand in die poule C, gespeeld om plaats 5-6, 7-8, 9-10. Deze wedstrijden worden gespeeld zonder schotklok, geen time outs en duren 2 maal 15 minuten.
De nummers 1 en 2 van de zaterdag spelen op zondagmorgen halve finales om te bepalen wie gaat spelen in de finales wedstrijden om de plaatsen 3-4 en 1-2. Deze wedstrijden duren 2 maal 25 minuten met 2 time-outs per ploeg en met de schotklok.

U16 Talent World Cup Schijndel 2012

10 Countries has entered the U16 Talent World Cup 2012 in Schijndel (NED). Chinese Taipei, England, Belgium, Hungary, The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, and Belarus. Among the competing nations, for the very first time is the team of Pakistan.
This international korfball tournament for players under 16 will be held in the sports centre “Dioscuren” Schijndel from 17 – 18 March 2012 and is patronized by the International Korfball Federation (IKF). The local korfball club “De Boemerang” will assist the KNKV South District with the organisation of this event.
The 10 teams will battle for rankings in two groups, playing four games each in round robin format within their own group. 2 X 15 minutes, without shot clock and time out. On the concluding day, the numbers 1 and 2 of the pools from Saturday will play for the Talent World Cup, in a semifinal and final. This games are 2 x 25 minutes with 2 time outs and with shot clock. The winner of the final will be presented with the Talent World Cup Trophy for one year. The champion of the 2011 tournament was The Netherlands.
The other teams will play in group C against teams of the other pool, 2 X 15 minutes, without shot clock and time out . Match points earned against the numbers 3, 4 or 5 in their own group of Saturday , will be taken to the new group C. After these games the teams will contest in one last game (C5-C6 / C7-C8 / C9-C10) to determine their final placing in the tournament.
